Fabric-care engineering · mechanism

Cut the bobbles. Keep the fabric.

Precision blades remove the pills, fuzz and bobbles that make good clothes look worn. Three speeds. Rechargeable power. A wide shaving surface engineered for fast, controlled fabric care.

Precision shaving system

The perforated shaving surface catches raised fibres while the rotating blades beneath cleanly remove pills from the fabric surface. Smooth passes. Visible results.

3 speeds · more control

Different garments need different levels of care. Choose between three speeds to match the fabric and level of pilling. One button. Three levels. You're in control.

Wide head · fewer passes

A larger shaving surface covers more fabric with every movement. Less going over the same area. More time wearing the clothes you actually like.

USB-C · built to recharge

No disposable batteries. No cord while you work. Charge Velora by USB-C, unplug and refresh your wardrobe wherever you need it.

Save something you still care about before it needs replacing.

That cardigan you stopped wearing. The joggers that looked tired after four washes. The sofa cushions that aged five years in one winter.

None of it is actually worn out. It's pilling — loose fibres that ball up on the surface and make good fabric look cheap. Underneath, the garment is completely fine.

The Oravia Velora lifts the bobbles off and leaves the fabric untouched. One pass, and the thing you were about to bag up for the charity shop looks like it did in the shop.

  • 6-blade head

Cuts a wider path per pass, so a full jumper takes a couple of minutes instead of twenty.

  • Honeycomb guard

The mesh sits between blade and fabric. Bobbles lift through and get cut. The weave never touches the blade.

  • Three speeds

Low for cashmere and silk blends. Middle for cotton and jersey. High for coats, blankets and upholstery.

  • 1-hour charge

Full battery in an hour over USB-C, then 3.5–4.5 hours of use. Most shavers need three hours to charge.

"Will it put a hole in my jumper?"

It's the only question that really matters, so here's the honest answer.

Cheap shavers snag because the mesh holes are too wide. Fabric gets pulled through, and the blade catches the weave instead of the bobble. That's how people end up with holes.

The Velora honeycomb guard uses tighter apertures. Bobbles stand proud of the fabric and lift through to be cut. Flat weave stays flat, below the blade line. Six blades means a wider cut per pass, so you go over the same patch fewer times — and most damage happens on the fourth or fifth frustrated pass over one spot.

Two rules and you'll never have a problem. Lay the garment flat on a hard surface, and let the device do the work — don't press. It's like an electric toothbrush: pressure doesn't help, it hurts.

Start on Low. That's what it's there for. Step up to Middle for everyday cotton, and save High for coats, blankets and sofa fabric. Most damage happens because people run one speed at everything.

Still nervous? Test an inside seam first. Thirty seconds, and you'll know.

30,000 people retired the lint roll last year alone.

Here's why

Oravia vs. the £8 one

Most cheap fabric shavers are the same unbranded plastic unit with a different sticker on it — two AA batteries, one speed, and a blade guard that snags. Here's what's actually different.

  Cheap shavers

less labour-intensive

Honeycomb mesh guard between blade and fabric

Twist. Tip. Done.

Most fabric shavers have a fiddly little chamber you have to prise open over a bin and then pick clean with your fingers.

The Velora comes apart in one twist. Tip the fluff into the bin, twist it back together, carry on. It takes about four seconds.

That matters more than it sounds — a full chamber is the main reason these things stop cutting properly halfway through a jumper.

lifetime of sorted clothes.

  • 1. Lay it flat

Spread the garment on a table or worktop. Never do it while you're wearing it, and never hold the fabric taut in your hand — that's how the weave gets pulled into the mesh.

  • 2. Pick your speed and glide

Low for delicates, Middle for everyday cotton, High for coats and upholstery. Move in slow circles and let the weight of the device do the work. No pressure.

  • 3. Empty and go again

When the window looks full, twist the chamber off, tip it into the bin and twist it back. Four seconds, and you're cutting at full power again.

    works perfectly on my bras

I kept getting fuzz and little bobbles on my favourite bras after washing them. I tried Velora on the back band and it made such a difference they feel and look brand new and best of all no more iritating itching throughout the day

So nice I ordered it twice

I handle a lot of second hand uniform, the majority of them looking worse for wear. I’ve tried countless lint removers and this has been by far the best. The others don’t come close! I had to order a second one just incase the price increases 😂 less than £25 seems a steal compared to what I’ve paid for others that went blunt almost instantly.

Saved clothes I was ready to replace

“I had a pile of clothes I was ready to get rid of because they looked worn out. Velora made such a difference. It’s great being able to keep the clothes I already have instead of buying replacements.”

The questions you're already asking.

Is it safe on cashmere and wool?

Yes, on Low. That's exactly what the low setting exists for. Lay the garment flat, keep the device moving, and don't press down. The honeycomb guard keeps the blades off the weave. If you're anxious about a particular piece, test an inside seam first.

How long does the battery last?

The 2600mAh battery gives 3.5–4.5 hours of use and charges fully in about an hour over USB-C — most fabric shavers need three. The display shows your exact battery percentage, so you're never caught out halfway through.

Does it work on furniture and bedding?

Yes — sofas, cushions, throws, curtains, bedding sets and car seats. Use High for anything heavy or tightly woven. It's the same job as clothing, just a larger surface.

Will it pick up pet hair?

It's built for bobbles, lint and fuzz rather than pet hair specifically. It will lift some, but a rubber brush is the better tool for that particular job.

How do I empty it?

Twist the chamber off, tip it into the bin, twist it back on. About four seconds. Do it whenever the window looks full — a packed chamber is the main reason these devices seem to stop working.

What if I don't get on with it?

You have 30 days. Use it as described, and if it doesn't do what we've said it does, send it back.
