FAQs
How do I measure my opening?
Measure at the narrowest point, which is almost always skirting board to skirting board rather than the door frame itself. Measure at the height the gate will sit. If your number is between 75cm and 82cm, this gate fits as supplied. We don't offer extensions for this model, so if you're outside that range you'll need a wider gate.
Is it certified?
Yes. This gate has been independently tested to BS EN 1930, the British and European safety standard for child safety barriers. Plenty of gates carry vague "European standards" wording without ever naming one — we're happy to name ours.
Will it damage my walls or skirting?
No. It holds by tension across four contact pads and comes off without a mark, which makes it a sensible choice for rented homes. On freshly painted or delicate surfaces, wall protector cups are worth adding.
What about the bottom bar?
There's a threshold bar across the base, just 3cm high — that's what gives a pressure gate its rigidity. It's low enough to step over without thinking, but worth knowing about if anyone in the house has mobility difficulties.
How long will my child use it?
Suitable from crawling to around 24 months. Stop using it as soon as your child can climb over — that's the guidance for every pressure-fit gate, not just this one. Never stack two gates on top of each other.
What's in the box?
The gate, assembled and ready to fit, plus the fixing tools and instructions. Gate height 76cm, walk-through opening 60cm, fits openings 75–82cm. White only.
